Bear Paw Inn

I'm giving this establishment five stars. Not because it is a five star hotel and let's be honest it is an updated motel. That said it has surpassed my expectations in it's charm and cleanliness. One could say it's a but of a resort in that it has its own private fishing area complete with canoes or kayaks made available to the guests. This location is in the middle section of three lakes so very good for a fishing trip. I would recommend ensuring you have all your provisions as there is not stores unless you drive about ten miles. The interior of the rooms is modern and well maintained.

We stumbled upon this place when we were driving very late and were desperate for a place to stay. I'm SO glad we found it; the owners are really great and personable plus it is pet-friendly. It is an older place but very clean and well-kept, and they had just put a new shower in our cabin. Because our second car was going to get in even later, they let us stay later than usual past checkout time so that everyone could get some decent sleep. Also when we were leaving, I lost my phone and the owner helped me look all over till I found it. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. My family is picky about cleanliness when staying places, and they were happy. So that says something!

One of my favorite spots to stay in Da UP! The owners are amazingly nice people, the rooms are very cozy and comfortable! I have stayed here once in the fall and once in the summer and loved it both times! I even forgot my fishing pole and they were nice enough to call me and let me know i left it there and they will save it for me in a safe place until my next trip:) cant wait to go back!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SAFE, COZY & FRIENDLY slice of heaven. The staff are SOOOO nice & accommodating. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, with the wood walls and leather accents.. fridge microwave & coffee maker. TV & free wifi. Don't even get me started on the STUNNING VIEWS..

I stayed here for a little over a week and the room was amazing and the hospitality was excellent! The owners were very courteous and even understood my neediness! The room was above and beyond what I anticipated at the price. The availability of the kayaks for FREE to my family to use during our stay was something that couldn’t be beat! My kids and I were able to take in the ATV trails as well as the lakes! We are so happy we stayed here and will do so again in the future!

Very nice place and very reasonably priced! Clean, cozy, and very well kept up. Ceilings were bright and clean like they were freshly painted recently, walls were glossed pine, and bedspreads fit an upnorth cabin perfectly. Rooms had an awesome feel and staff, especially cleaning lady, were very nice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Awesome people. Cute room. Kayaks available. Tables, chairs, fishing area, yard games. Fun little place. We love mom n pop businesses you cannot beat that kind of service and the friendliness that comes with it. We were even given a great restaurant suggestion and had a fantastic meal at Carlas!!! Thanks for a great night guys!

Not for high class snooty people but awesome for the price and a great place for working class folks to relax and enjoy themselves. Room was clean, grounds were well maintained. It was quiet and laid back, beds were comfy. We used the barbeque to make some great burgers and made some new friends. The dock area is perfect for kayak and canoe access. Chilling by the canal on the porch swing and watching the sunset is recommended
